aXIS COMMUNITY MARKET

Given a shell of a former Toys R Us with roughly 42,000 square feet, the goal of the project was to transform the abandoned building into a space that could benefit the community of Tallahassee, Florida. Given the demographics and the current services already provided, a community market acted as the best way to bring people together as a community as well as support the local economy. Featuring a wide variety of local shops, food venues, and local entertainment, the Axis aimed to cater towards the overall population while providing a safe, family friendly space that is accessible day or night regardless of the weather.
